Questions for a Monday

On March 15, 2010, in Uncategorized, by Brett Duncan

I woke up with these questions in my mind, so I thought I’d ask them of you, too. I’m not sure what I’m going to do about the answers, but nonetheless, it’s a good level-set for a Monday morning.

5 Questions to Ask Yourself on a Monday Morning

  1. What can you do this morning that you’ll be thankful for tonight?
  2. What can you do today that you’ll be thankful for on Friday?
  3. What can you do this week that you’ll be glad you did in mid-April?
  4. What can you do this month that you’ll be glad you did by the end of the year?
  5. What can you accomplish this year that will make you proud next year?

Happy Monday.

Great questions. Think I’ll print them out and post them on my bulletin board.

During the Olympics recently, one of NBC’s little features was about Apollo Ohno (actually, I think he had at least five). He was talking about his training and how he motivates himself, and he said (I’m paraphrasing), “When you go to bed at night, can you look in the mirror and honestly tell yourself that you did everything you could today to get yourself closer to your goals? It’s really hard to answer yes.”

    Whoa.

Anyway, I think everyone an use inspirational quotes like that and like those you’ve posted. I know I do. They’re nice little reminders for the next time I want to not put in the full effort. They don’t always work, but they sure help.

    So, thanks.

Chris – glad it struck you the same way it did me. It’s certainly not original, but sometimes you have to just put yourself on the spot and call things out like they are. Then you can move it forward.

I definitely need to print out more quotes and hang around my office. Love the Ono one.
