I somewhat wonder if those who figured out how to make Twitter useful (Scoble, Brogan, etc.) will start looking for "the next big thing" now that Twitter is ramping up the adoption curve into mainstream society. You see this type of thing with all kinds of products. Early adopters like a product as long as they are the early adopters for it. Once it reaches that majority status, early adopters start looking for something else to adopt . . . early.

Great article Brett. I never understood the celebrity thing. I'm not sure it is a good thing that Ashton is the leading celeb! As for Oprah, its all about promoting herself and her show isn't it? I think your observation that there are going to be a lot more over 35 year old women getting twitter accounts now that Oprah is on it.

I am not sure what to think about Twitter expanding too fast. While I think its getting a lot more press, I love to use it and keep up with stuff. I think while some people will join it because they should, those of us who find it useful will continue to use it...until something better comes along I guess!
