steve-jobsA lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.

Yes, we’re in a recession. No, people haven’t stopped buying stuff. Fortunately, many of us are closer to the side that only reads about the recession rather than experiencing it firsthand. 

The great thing about recessions is that it filters out all the crap, and makes way for the real thing. Like Apple. For those willing to grasp it, it’s actually the most powerful competitive advantage there is. 

What’s everyone refusing to do these days that you could easily make happen, just by ignoring today’s conventional wisdom?

    Thanks for your insight, you are spot on here. Perhaps we should put more stock in the Recession Filters as an advantage. The main point here is, create Remarkable Products and Service, and all is right goes well.

    Eric – Yes, Recession Filters! I’m digging it. I would only add on to your summary that the Remarkable Products and Services do even better in a recession. So step up and hoist the sales, don’t sit back and ride it out.
