Your definition of a Depository Credit Intermediary is totally incorrect. You are confusing a Depository Credit Intermediary with a credit counseling or credit mediation company. That is incorrect. A Depository Credit Intermediary is a small banking company that lends according to very specific and predetermined guideline. Credit Unions and Community Banks are both examples of a Depository Credit Intermediary.
